Terrific Tahnee Joins The Ranks
Kids Tennis Foundation in Western Australia welcomes new coach, Tahnee Bird to the team. Tahnee has signed on to coach at a new country school for KTF – Goomalling Primary.
In fact, it is not a new school to Tahnee, as she was once a former student there herself!
Tahnee is an excellent tennis player and has played at the Goomalling Tennis Club since primary school. She has played A Grade Pennants for Goomalling. One of her goals is to combine work and travel and teach tennis at an American Summer Camp.
Goomalling Primary have joined the KTF program for 2008 Term 4 and Term 1 2009 and from recent reports and judging from these photos they are definitely enjoying the program! Welcome to both Tahnee and Goomalling Primary School!
From North to South – Albany coach – David Kerr...
"Albany’s Term 4 KTF programs have all started and we welcome Parklands Primary School as a new school for the term.
Travelling a short distance every Monday morning to Merrifield Park Tennis Club, sees the year 4-7 players of this small school receive their weekly tennis lesson with Albany Tennis Academy head coach David Kerr.
The Parkland kids are very enthusiastic and very keen to learn. They haven’t had an opportunity in tennis like this before at their school, but the kids and teachers are very appreciative and everyone’s having a ball!
It has only been a few lessons, but they have already shown improvement. They have leant volleys and smashing and love the fun you can have with tennis!"
Feedback from the kids:
"Tennis is fun because you learn so when you get older you can be a champion" JESSE
"The best part of the tennis lesson is everything because I love it!" TEMP
"Tennis is fun because our coach is the best and we play games" HOLLY
"The best part of the tennis lesson is learning the smash" DEVIN
