Coach profile: GRANT DANIEL
Grant has been involved in tennis since as early as he can remember. Being from the country, his parents’ sporting outings were precious and all 5 siblings went wherever the parents went. At school Grant excelled in sport and also took on leadership roles including school prefect, sports captain and club captain. With sport his first passion, the sporting rewards came in abundance and that was all Grant looked forward to doing. The stepping stones took him into coaching sports and that is where he stayed, enjoying the involvement and interaction with people of similar interests.
For the last decade Grant has worked for Tennis SA focusing on “Tennis in Schools” as the past Regional Development Officer. And now with Kids Tennis Foundation having travelled around the country side to schools like Moonta Area School, Swan Reach Area School and Murray Bridge North School, Grant has taught some of his first KTF pupils, which he reports is a great buzz! His aim is to keep a racquet in their hands year round which is becoming a reality with an explosion of children interested in or already playing tennis for the club. |
