FAREWELL TO PETER JOHNSTON

It is with great sadness that Kids Tennis Foundation announces the resignation of one of our long-serving Board Members, Peter Johnston.

Peter (pictured) was a director of Tennis Victoria when he joined the Board of KTF in 1986. Prior to this role at Tennis Victoria, Peter was a top Victorian tennis player and played the tour from 1979 until 1985. He was a player agent in the early 1990’s and joined Tennis Australia in 1995 first as Marketing Manager and then as General Manager of Men’s Tennis and General Manager of Events and until recently as Deputy Tournament Director of the Australian Open.

“I loved my time on the Kids Tennis Foundation Board. I was fortunate to have worked with some wonderful people who were all in it for the kids! Everyone was so professional. The fact that KTF is still providing coaching for disadvantaged kids after 24 years is testament to the wonderful initiative of Founder and Chairman, Paul McNamee, and the hard work of all the Board Members, CEO Susie Norton, National Co-ordinator Kate Szabo and all the coaches and interstate administrators”.

Kids Tennis Foundation would like to thank Peter most sincerely for his wonderful contribution over 21 years. All those disadvantaged kids would love to thank you too, Peter.

IT'S ALL HAPPENING AT AO 2008!
