NEWS - "CELEBRATION OF GIVING"
| Victoria - Published on December 4‚ 2007 |
Each year the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Fund (Victoria) raises money to support charities, hospital, welfare and health care agencies caring for Melbourne’s most disadvantaged.
The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Fund (Victoria) recently announced that it had just distributed $4.1 million to over 300 Melbourne hospitals and charities including two major grants of up to $100,000 awarded to Parkinson’s Victoria and the St Vincent’s Foundation.
Kids Tennis Foundation was one of the lucky beneficiaries and was awarded $28,000. This grant was made possible due to the outstanding generosity of Mrs Anne Foote and her late husband Eldon Foote who established a trust within the Lord Mayor's Charitable Fund to distribute its revenue to worthy causes.
Mr & Mrs Foote have always been keen to support innovative projects and causes that are making a significant contribution to society. Kids Tennis Foundation is thrilled that the importance of its work has been recognized through being awarded this grant.
Kids Tennis Foundation would like to sincerely thank the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Fund for this recognition and generosity. This $28,000 means that many more disadvantaged children in Melbourne will be given the opportunity to learn and play tennis, not to mention the boost to their self-esteem and self-confidence. |
