NEWS - SUPPORT OF TENNIS AUSTRALIA TRULY VALUED.
| Victoria - Published on September 29‚ 2011 |
Tennis fans visiting Australian Open 2012 on the middle Sunday, Charity Sunday, had the opportunity to help raise money for two very worthy causes simply by depositing ticket stubs in collection bins around Melbourne Park. For every ticket stub placed in the collection bins, $2 was donated to the Australian Open Charitable Fund and shared between the official Australian Open Charities, Tennis Australia Foundation and Kids Tennis Foundation. Kids Tennis Foundation is the only dedicated tennis charity in Australia which introduces underprivileged kids to the wonderful world of tennis, so this recognition by Tennis Australia is truly valued.
Kids Tennis Foundation sincerely thanks Tennis Australia for their ongoing support and is truly privileged and ever so grateful to once again receive such a generous donation of $14,400. Thanks also to all those patrons at AO 2012 who deposited their ticket stubs.
This money certainly helps Kids Tennis Foundation provide financially and socially disadvantaged children throughout Australia with the opportunity to learn and play tennis, not to mention the boost to their self-esteem and self-confidence. |
