More Generosity Abounds

Back

During AO 2018, there were several “surprise” initiatives set in place to raise funds for Kids Tennis Foundation.

How thrilled KTF was to hear from Danielle Knight who works for The GPT Group, which is a Property Management Group, with Danielle’s role including that of arranging activations for the tenants in their buildings.

Danielle arranged an activation for the Australian Open 2018. She and her willing band of workers hosted a set up in the laneway adjoining their building in Williams St for their tenants to leisurely watch the Australian Open throughout the days January 15-19. They had a cart, which had ice creams and popcorn to purchase by way of a gold coin donation. All those gold coins certainly added up with funds raised being donated to Kids Tennis Foundation.

AND…….Another “unexpected” phone call came from Jyotsna Goel, who is 80 Collins St General Manager. 80 Collins is the name of the corporate building and its address in Melbourne. Flowers displayed in the foyer of the building are auctioned on Friday each week for charity on their community portal. The tenants in the building auction for them starting at $5. Each month different charities are chosen and Kids Tennis Foundation was the chosen Charity for January.

AND……more good news from 570 Bourke St General Manager, Tash Orloff, who, like Jyotsna of 80 Collins, through the auction of flowers each Friday in January, together with additional donations raised significant funds for Kids Tennis Foundation.

As a result of these three initiatives, in excess of $1500 was raised to help put “smiles on the faces” of more underprivileged kids.

Sincere thanks to The GPT Group, 80 Collins St and 570 Bourke St.

MORE FUNDS FROM TENNIS PLAYERS PARTY

Damian Prasad, a keen supporter of Kids Tennis Foundation, once again organised his Annual Tennis Players Party during AO 2018 with proceeds from entry fees being donated to Kids Tennis Foundation. And, what a fabulous night it was! The stylish George on Collins was jumping! Thanks to patrons on the night, $2,000 was raised.

Sincerest of thanks to the wonderful Damian Prasad for his undying support of Kids Tennis Foundation and this very generous donation.
