“WOW” was the word used by many guests as they entered the Sofitel Ballroom to aptly describe the superb décor for the 2013 Kids Tennis Foundation Gala, “Rhapsody in Blue”.
Thanks to the generosity of Louise Higgins & Function Accessories, the masses of white Ostrich feathers in the beautiful tall silver vases certainly took everyone back to the “1920’s” with the star studded blue curtain backdrop straight out of “The Great Gatsby”! To set the scene and to Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”, Hooman & Delana from HD Entertainment performed a fabulous dance routine much to the delight of the appreciative guests.

It was fantastic to see Channel 9’s Jared Daperis and Elise Jansen from “Squizzy” fame and Bec & George straight from “The Block” as well as Coxy & his wife, Viv all having a great time. It was fabulous too having so many sporting and corporate identities in attendance at our Annual Gala. Feedback has been just wonderful with many commenting on the high quality of the food, the wine and compliments galore for long time friend of KTF, John Blackman, as MC and for the entertainment provided by one of Australia’s most popular bands, “The Vibes” thanks to the generosity of Abbe Corrugated Cardboard Packaging. Every time they took to the stage the dance floor was packed!

To photographer, Cathy O’Reilly and……..
to all those wonderful people who organised tables, heartfelt thanks.

In excess $70,000 raised.......Truly an incredible result!

As a result of funds raised, Kids Tennis Foundation will be able to continue to provide coaching programs on a regular weekly basis for many, many disadvantaged children throughout Australia, and, in the process, the boost to their self-esteem and self-confidence the important end result. There is a big short fall between the funding we receive and what it costs to run all our programs, hence our fund raising events are extremely important.
