All schools are on a "disadvantaged" list with the State Education Departments or the Catholic Education Offices. Schools are considered "disadvantaged" because of the large number of:

1. Multicultural families or
2. Single parent families or
3. Parents on social welfare benefits or
4. Unskilled parents on low income or
5. The school or group may be totally isolated, hence students are socially disadvantaged.
